About Jannah Circle

Jannah Circle is a nonprofit organization serving Muslim families across North America through community programming, spiritual development, and family enrichment. With established centers in Naperville and Northbrook, Illinois, we are opening our flagship 20,000 sq ft Muslim Family Center in Lombard, IL in Fall 2026. This center will offer in-person programs, a café, a vendor marketplace, fitness studios, and a full calendar of events — making it the most comprehensive Muslim family center in the region.

Role Overview

The Community & Content Coordinator is a full-time, in-person role that serves as the operational and digital heartbeat of the Lombard center. This person ensures that our programs run smoothly from an administrative standpoint and that our community — both online and on-site — feels informed, engaged, and welcomed. This role reports directly to the Program Director and provides direct support in the planning and execution of Jannah Circle events and programs.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Digital Media

  • Create and schedule social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and email (Reels, Stories, graphics, captions)
  • Photograph and film in-person events — Sunday school, women's classes, workshops, Ramadan markets, and retreats — for timely posting
  • Write and distribute weekly or biweekly email newsletters to the Jannah Circle community
  • Maintain a content calendar aligned with the program schedule and the Islamic calendar
  • Repurpose content across platforms (e.g., event recap → Reel → Story highlight → email)
  • Support the promotion of virtual classes and keep the online community engaged
  • Monitor and respond to direct messages across WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook in a timely manner

Program Administration

  • Manage registrations for all programs including Sunday school, workshops, retreats, and virtual classes
  • Communicate with registered participants — confirmations, reminders, and day-of logistics
  • Coordinate with instructors, speakers, and vendors before events (scheduling, setup needs, honorariums)
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and program rosters
  • Support logistics for special events such as the Ramadan market, workshops, and community retreats
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Google Calendar reflecting all events, programs, and center activities

Center Operations & Member Engagement

  • Support the Program Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of events and programs across all locations
  • Serve as a consistent on-site presence at the Lombard center during operating hours
  • Welcome walk-in members and respond to inquiries in person, by phone, and via DM or email
  • Manage room scheduling and the facility calendar
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages across social platforms
  • Cultivate relationships with members and help connect families to the right programs
  • Support the Program Director and Executive Director with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to photograph and cover events
  • Strong visual content instincts — understands what performs on Instagram; able to shoot and edit on a phone
  • Organized and detail-oriented — capable of managing multiple program tracks simultaneously
  • Warm, outgoing, and professional — comfortable being the face of the center
  • Proficiency in Canva, an email platform (Mailchimp or Flodesk), and Google Workspace
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut or similar)
  • Prior experience in content creation, event coordination, or administrative roles preferred
  • Deep alignment with Jannah Circle's mission and an understanding of the Muslim family community

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000–$45,000 annually, commensurate with experience
  • Complimentary Jannah Circle center membership
  • The opportunity to be part of a historic launch — the opening of the largest Muslim Family Center in the Chicago area
