Cooking Class for Kids!
A fun, faith-filled cooking experience where children make soup inspired by Bismillah Soup, learn gratitude and teamwork, and enjoy a shared meal together.

Overview
Join us for a unique, faith-filled experience inspired by the beloved book, Bismillah Soup! Children will have the opportunity to take part in a hands-on cooking demonstration, where they will learn how to make a delicious, heartwarming soup perfect for the season.
What to Expect:
- Interactive Cooking Demo – Kids learn about ingredients, kitchen tools, and safety
- Hands-On Practice – Washing, peeling, chopping, and stirring (age-appropriate guidance)
- Cooking Together – Ingredients go into an Instant Pot to simmer into delicious soup
- Storytime & Reflection – Read Bismillah Soup and discuss gratitude, teamwork, and sharing
- Group Feast & Du’a – Enjoy the soup together and end with a heartfelt prayer

About Instructor
Wardah is an artist, teacher, mother, and Montessori enthusiast with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Social Behavior from UCI. With over 10 years of experience working with children in schools, community programs, and homeschool co-ops, she has found joy in inspiring a love for learning through creativity and exploration. As a lead Montessori teacher, she fostered curiosity through art, literature, and nature.
A lifelong learner and creative soul, Wardah enjoys painting (even on ostrich eggs!), photography, baking, and blogging on her site Best of Wardah. On Outschool, she teaches a variety of art classes—ranging from acrylic and landscape painting to mandala art, henna, calligraphy, and hand lettering—along with Urdu and Hindi conversation lessons. She brings warmth, creativity, and cultural richness to every class she teaches.
